Corporate portraits with Petr

I photographed many musicians, also with their instruments, however, an organ was literally the biggest challenge. Petr had a clear vision, what photographs he would like, which made it all easier. Would you like to see what non-standard corporate portraits we created?

In May, Petr contacted me with a request to create a series of portraits for his own website. The main idea was simple, portraits with a musical instrument, which the presentation would be about. That instrument was an organ. Thanks to friendly contacts we could use the spaces of the churches in Hlucin and Ludgerovice, which offer both interesting surroundings and beautiful organ instruments. Therefore the session was split into two parts. Because of the fact that a harmonium was placed close to the pipes, we had to compromise between capturing the portraits and capturing the parts of the instruments. During playing it was possible to capture only the harmonium, placed on an elevated platform, the pipes could only be captured from a farther distance, so we had to step away from them.

Petr graduated from the conservatory in Brno and the Academy of performing arts in Prague, then he studied in Lyon, France. He used to teach the organ at the conservatory in Olomouc, Opava and Ostrava. Nowadays he is a director of Prvni soukroma zakladni umelecka skola MIS music in Koprivnice.
