Christmas photoshoot in a kindergarten
Many parents wished for Christmas photos of their small kids. Therefore MS Pionyrska, a kindergarten in Koprivnice, asked me to make a Christmas session in their facility. Would you like to see some of the photos?
This year I created a simple set symbolising winter, making an impression of an outdoor scene with a tree covered by snow. Kids could play with several props and few digital effects were added in postproduction. I presented the school with sample photos so that the parents had a chance to look at them in advance. I always took two different portraits, one capturing full body and one from a closer distance. In many cases, parents brought the other siblings as well and the kids were photographed together. With such small kids you can never predict their mood for the session and it becomes the more tricky the more kids are on the set. Sometimes we had to give the kids more time to relax, parents and I tried to talk to them nicely, and when nothing worked, we simply changed the order with the next kid. All the effort was worth it because I received great compliments from the parents who liked the results a lot. They were pleased themselves and I am sure their relatives, who received the printed copies, too.
